Story

Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Joeylynn Mesaros grew up with a curious love for flowers which began in her Italian grandmother's flower and vegetable garden. What started out years ago as tiny bouquets of short-stemmed flowers arranged in pill bottles and other makeshift vases, later bloomed into a much larger creative art form which now fully employs Joeylynn Mesaros, Owner and Flowersmith of The Traveling Florist Co.

Joeylynn specializes in craft floral-handiwork inspired by the free flowing and romantic styles of Victorian and Baroque floral designs. She hand selects deluxe flowers and materials to create premium arrangements that feel as if they are wildly growing up out of the ground. With a humble attempt at recreating nature, and with great respect for each element, she places each flower and stem exactly where it would seem to want to grow if growing naturally, careful to listen to and pay attention to each flower and leaf. Each arrangement is a meticulous labor of love for Joeylynn as she hopes to provoke feelings of emotion and appreciation for florals with each and every interaction.

Joeylynn now lives in New Braunfels, Texas with her husband of 13 years and their 9 year old son seeking a beautiful, simple and peaceful life that is full of learning, adventure and wonder.

Philanthropy is at the heart of The Traveling Florist Co. Joeylynn contributes 10% of proceeds to select local charities or when appropriate, a charity of the client's choice.

It is Joeylynn's promise to source locally when possible and her privilege to consciously maximize resources by drying any remaining florals for later use.

Joeylynn hopes to inspire you to shop floral differently, and encourage you to join her as we change the world one flower at a time, one person at a time, one cause at a time.
